Recording the Minas Tirith demotape 1992

I found this old studio diary and thought I´d share it. It was made during the recording of the Minas Tirith demo tape "Tales From The Woods" back in 1992 and may give you an in-depth look at the working process of those very early days as well as a few laughts - don´t take it too seriously...

By the way, "Exe" is Erik Ravn, "Spaden" is Morten Birch, "Kanut" is Kenneth Saandvig and "Martin" is Martin Røpcke. Jan is a close friend of the band as well as their official beer & pizza-hunter. And a Danish Krone is around $ 0,20/€ 0,13. The diary was of course written in Danish and much of it is almost impossible to translate, but anyway...

Have fun!

Wednesday evening
Erik is working at laying down the guitars for Road goes on, which is a bigger problem than first assumed, because the rhythms are ZWARNESLUMPE?!

Erik has recorded guitar for "", "Road goes...", "So long ago" & "Fairy tale" from 5 p.m. to approx. 11.30 a.m. He looks like a cake that has been eaten twice.

"Wanderers f..." chaos

Demo-recording, total costs:
gear etc. 332,50 + 240,00 = 572,50
food etc. 214,75
total: 547,25 + 240,00 = 787,25
(editorial note: I know that this calculation doesn´t make sense, but I know that we did a recording for less than 1000 DKK, and I´m quite proud of that really...)

Sleep (three days):
Martin: slept at home + 4 + 0
Exe: 6½ + 4 + 8 (stoner)
Kanut: 6 + 4 + 3½
Me (Morten): 6 + 4 + 0

Jan´s gift:
